and me, i ain't never gonna understand...

last night, i went to the joemca & poets show at mercury lounge. it was their first gig with their new drummer, Alec. boy is mad talented and pretty nice, to boot. the poets put on a lovely, swirling show as usual. and hannah treated us to a nice interpretive mime of "paralyzing woman", which was very funny. joemca took some time out to express his love for cheese, which is always appreciated by me, because i love cheese, too. over all a very good show, and even though i miss a lot of the computer-generated beats of yesteryear, there is so much more energy and crispness to the set now.
